Mary Nelson has been a Potter for 10 years. (as of 2008).  Mary learned her trade at Red Deer College, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.  Two years in the Education Program, Two years in the Visual Arts Program, and Six years as a Ceramic Technician at R.D.C. has given her the skills required to operate her studio, create in her art form, and teach students what she loves about working in clay. She has been teaching classes since September 2005. Her specialty is in ceramic functional ware with her own lines of dinner ware, with a big focus on her sunflower design. Her dream of her own studio became a reality when she moved here to Terrace in August 2006. Since opening the studio it has become apparent that this is a growing and developing business with more product creativity, professional development and personal growth to come.
